CHLOE

In 2011, MacGibbon stepped down to pursue other projects. She was succeeded by Clare Waight Keller, the designer credited with transforming the venerable knitwear label Pringle of Scotland into a modern luxury brand. Fortunately for Chlo茅, Waight Keller's favorite fashion era is the late sixties and early seventies-the years when the house bloomed brightest, under Lagerfeld. Delving into the archives, Waight Keller has, of course, brought her considerable skills in knitwear to bear-recalling the instarsias favored by Lagerfeld-and she's drawn attention back to the special embroideries that were once a hallmark. The spirit of the Chlo茅 woman lives on. "Natural, very effortless, and quite joyful," Waight Keller described it. "It's not nostalgic, but there's something there that makes you smile."
